Mixer-ul include Beat Effects si Instrument FX, care ofera un numar impresionant de efecte: noise, HPF, LPF, jet, zip si crush, 3-band EQ intre +6dB si -26dB, trei moduri diferite de mixing, placa de sunet integrata si suport USB pentru conexiunea cu un PC.

Noul DJM-2000 a fost expus in premiera in cadrul MixMove Show, in Paris, pe data de 14 martie, dupa care va fi prezentat la Musikmesse, Frankfurt, pe 24 martie 2010.
